Rose Rosette Alert

Rose Rosette Alert

We have recently observed an increase in cases of Rose Rosette Virus (RRV), a destructive disease that affects rose plants. This virus is transmitted by a tiny eriophyid mite and, unfortunately, once a plant is infected, there is no cure. Infected roses typically undergo severe changes, including excessive thorn production, distorted or clustered growth (known as “witch’s broom”), and abnormal red discoloration of leaves or stems.

If you notice these symptoms in your roses, we strongly recommend consulting reputable online resources or local horticultural experts to confirm the presence of the virus. Early identification and removal of infected plants can help prevent further spread.
